Hoof Care®

INDICATIONS

HOOF CARE® is indicated as adjuvant for the treatment of cracked, soft, or chipped hooves. Its active ingredients have a direct effect on the reconstruction of corneocytes.
It strengthens horses’ coat and mane, stimulates skin healing, contributes to develop healthy connective tissue (hooves and coat), improves the appearance of hooves, skin, and coat (growth, shine and softness).

Benefits:
Biotin
Biotin is one of the most popular vitamins in equine care. It is used to aid hoof, skin and coat regeneration and to enhance the protection of these keratin skin structures.

Methionine and Zinc
For the proper absorption of Zn++, it must be administered in a chelated form, such as zinc methionine.
Zn++ is an essential mineral in the keratinization process, since it takes part in over 200 enzyme systems. In addition, it has been demonstrated that Zn++ performs catalytic, structural and regulatory roles in the keratinocytes differentiation and proliferation processes.

Copper
The Cu-dependent polyphenol oxidase (PPO) enzyme facilitates the conversion of tyrosine into melanin, coat and skin pigment. Copper is also responsible for keratin formation in coat and hooves.

L-arginine and L-glutamine
As precursors of nitric oxide, which is responsible for vasodilation, they are often used as adjuvants for the treatment of conditions such as chronic laminitis in horses.

Prebiotics (Mannan-Oligosaccharides - MOS) / Probiotics (Saccharomyces Cerevisiae)
They reduce the negative effects of stress as they aid the balance of gastrointestinal flora by inhibiting the establishment of pathogenic microorganisms or by inducing the proliferation of beneficial microorganisms in the gut flora.
As a result, feed digestibility and nitrogen retention improve to enhance feed conversion efficiency.
